Bruno
Brochenin

Graduate of ESSEC Business School. Twenty years observing organisations and supporting their managers. Three books, a training programme, one constant thread.

Collaborative management, collective engagement, lasting performance.

“Collaborative management is the true means of achieving collective engagement, from which lasting performance flows — and the IBET now makes it measurable.”

I

One central thesis, twenty years of consistency

Psychological level
Vanity is the mind's delusion that it is greater than its actual capacities. (Paul Diel)
Sociological level
The individual is always already social. They exist only within and through the collective. (Marcel Mauss)
Political level
Structural power tends to externalise the costs of its dysfunctions onto the collective. (James C. Scott)
Synthesis
Collective engagement is the condition of all lasting performance — and it cannot be decreed.

Essay · Management
Where is the organisation headed?
Organisation and its drifts
Diagnosis of organisational drift in the age of procedures and ERP systems. Field testimonies, portraits, analysis of enterprise architecture as a tool of liberation or subjugation depending on the intention behind it.
Why this book ↓

Collective Engagement in the Organisation
The magical dimension of performance
Presentation of the five-dimension 'magic circle' model. Demonstration that organisational entropy is a measurable cost, systematically ignored by conventional accounting.
Why this book ↓

The Workplace Wellbeing Index
We measure everything except what matters
Three-pillar theoretical foundation (Diel, Mauss, Scott) for a disengagement measurement tool. Argument for accounting reform integrating the systemic costs of workplace ill-being.
Why this book ↓

The IBET in figures

The IBET© (Workplace Wellbeing Index) is a registered trademark of Mozart Consulting, created by Victor Waknine. Bruno Brochenin contributed an epistemological questioning of the approach in collaboration with Waknine.
Method: IBET© = 1 − TMET, where TMET (Ill-being Rate) aggregates three reciprocal disengagement rates — TND (health-related unavailability), TSF (employer-initiated departures), TDD (employee-declared disengagement) — calculated without any questionnaire, from DARES, CNAMTS and company HR data. One IBET point equals 1% of the payroll.
